  • 10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

19Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.     Ephesians 6:10-20

I had to look at these verses today as I thought through all the drama that has happened in the last week and knowing the best way to pray for the many people affected by it all. It makes me sad for them as so many of them don't know Christ but I know that I can claim the name of Jesus Christ through it all and for them because what else do they have? who else do they have to do that for them and I pray that each one you will keep this village and the surrounding villages in your prayers. I will give you brief look at all that has been happening....

Last week we had 1 possibly 2 drug drops in a nearby village, many times people we know well are involved in these, this time we don't really know but it definitely still affects everyone here.

a couple of police raids in 2 peoples houses they confiscated several items, papers, and guns.

And the one our hearts have really been crying out to.

Tuesday evening a little boy came home from school and got pretty sick, So the next day being clinic day Barb told them she would pick him up in the morning and take him to the hospital when she went to the clinic. By that time the next morning he had already died. We don't know what he had but if it was anything contagious there may be many more people getting it especially the kids he went to school with daily. The Mother is saying that she took him to the witch Doctor and didn't pay him, so they believe that the witch doctor put a curse on him to die. We may never know.... Some would say that can't happen and that voodoo isn't real, as much as I would love to believe that I see it too much here to and know that it is all too real and so many people truly believe in it. Pray that Satan isn't given a stronger foothold through them believing that, but that they may come to see Christ through this all, and each of you can have a part in bringing that about by praying that we can beat Satan back and we can claim Christ Promises.

  • So this morning since there was going to be market out at the hard road I decided to go with Lee in the fuel truck to get it filled up, OH MY!! I don't think I will attempt that ride in that truck again until after the baby is here. Well we finally got to the fuel station and they were all out if Diesel and it would be a couple days till they get some in again.
So I went to the little restaurant they have there and ate some goat for lunch, then we went to market just for a short while. Thankfully one of our workers had come out for fuel also so we left the fuel truck at one of our shops out there and drove back with him, definitely a much better ride.

I have been noticing lately that when I go to get Q-tips out they have these weird marks on the "stick" part of them, well I figured hey it's haiti you never know what things are going to look like. But then yesterday I went to get one out and realized that they do not come with these marks on them, if I don't shut my box right a cockroach has been getting in there and chewing on them..... needless to say I now look at the ends a little closer before I use them.

This is my little lady I got to babysit the other day for our Pastor. She didn't want Lee at first when he came home for lunch, but once he won her over she didn't want anything to do with anyone else.  Miss Estephanie is 9 months old.

  • Hi all,
I would like for you to meet some friends of ours.
    Ari & Karleen
They have been engaged for about 6 years and are quite anxious to be married. Who wouldn't be after waiting for that amount of time.
The problem being they don't have enough money to finish building their house and so the wedding waits until all expectations are met whether it just be traditions or a need.
So at their request I agreed to put this up and let all who read it know about their need.
Anyone wanting to help out with any amount they would be truly grateful. you may let me know by email or send me a message on here and I will give you an address that you may send donations to for them.
Please remember them in your prayers as they fight daily to do things in a Godly way.

  • Overview

Ok so last week is a bit of a blur...... Lee took a guy to the hospital that had Typhoid, it was a pretty bad case, Lee thought the guy was pretty much in a coma.
Saturday we started cleaning off our screened in porch, we would like to use it as a sitting area and not just storage and laundry, then we left it a BIG mess and spent the late afternoon at the beach riding waves. And then the evening visiting at Marlin & Missy's.
Sunday morning I woke up covered all over in Hives, I have never ever had them before and it is not something I wish to repeat. We decided it must have been from some medication I was taking cause it was the only thing different. Plus I had gotten sick soon after I started taking it and I haven't been sick like that the entire pregnancy. So we didn't make it to church at all that day. I got lots of Cold showers and sat in front of the fan and tried to not scratch them at all.
Monday morning I woke up and they were all gone, Praise the Lord.
So we decided to go ahead with our plans, I wanted to take Lee to O' Cayes a town 2 hrs away for a early date for his birthday. The drive is absolutely beautiful you drive through the mountains and along the ocean the whole way.
We ate at my favorite resteraunt there. We got goat with a yummy slightly spicy sauce over it, Banan, pick-les, and avocado. Definitely a favorite meal of mine. It was Lee's first time to have goat and he loved it.
Tuesday we worked on the porch again some until Marlins got back from Port and the guys went to work. They went up in the mountains where our bulldozer was broke down and fixed that. YIPPEE!! So it was a late night for them getting back home. I got a wonderful break, Patrick ( a Haitian boy I know ) came and cleaned my house for me. He found my bottle of dusting spray that WAS a full bottle I havn't wanted to see how much is left, But I think I could have used the rag for quite a while and not need to spray anything. But hey my house smelled VERY clean when I walked in.
God Bless you all and thanks for your prayers.
